rocketmaster we have a problem!

Hey rocketmaster,
We are having a problem with the chat rooms.
Some members can not get in the old chat room and some can not get in the new chat room.
Same problem in both cases too.
The applet never finishes loading so they can type in their names and enter.
Other members (myself included) can get in either chat room at the very same time.
It makes no sense!
Any help would be greatly appreciated by all of us.

S.O.S.~ Rocky I can't get through to the chatroom either, the old chatroom is the one that won't let me in. We like the old room. Could you please look into it. Thanks...

Gus, I tried deleting the cookies but still no luck getting into the new chat room.

Hmmm, well, the OLD chat room hasn't changed at all, and it was always a little buggy that's why I added the new one.

The NEW one has apparently been "updated" by Bravenet so that if you don't have the newest browser, it no longer lets you in.

I found that the new one no longer accepts my version of Netscape 4.7, so I fired up Explorer 4.5 and it works fine. Do you guys have a choice of browsers on your computers? If you do, switch around and see if another works better, or try downloading an update.

Let me know how it goes.

P.S. Has anyone tried the chat room supplied by Hostboard? There's a link to it in the upper right corner of this page. Perhaps that one will work for us all?

Charlie, the thing that all three of these programs have in common is JAVA. I used to have a terrible problem with Java, froze my Mac repeatedly, and sometimes still does, but hardly ever these days.

Is Val around? Halloooo?
Can you explain why some of us can or can't decipher JAVA? Could this be our problem? [img]eek.gif[/img]

Thanks for the info Rocky! I hope everyone can upgrade somehow. I guess I must already be there because I can get in all 3 of the aforementioned chat rooms.
